Beats Solo 3 Wireless Under $100
Comprising a pair of Bluetooth wireless on-ear headphones styled in black, the Beats by Dr. Dre Beats Solo3 can provide up to 40 hours off a single charge. In a pinch, you can charge their on-board lithium-ion battery for five minutes to give you three hours of playing time.
They feature a durable and folding construction with cushioned, adjustable earcups designed for all-day listening. The presence of Apple's proprietary W1 chip makes the process of pairing as painless as placing the product in proximity to your phone and powering it on. They can simultaneously pair with your Apple Watch, iPad, and Mac, provided you have an iCloud account, the proper operating systems, and all of the aforementioned products. The Solo3's finely-tuned acoustics ensure the clarity, breadth, and balance of your music, while their on-board microphone and remote functionality allow you to answer calls, play music, adjust volume, and talk to Siri from time to time. A degree of noise-isolation is provided. Should you wish to use these headphones in a traditional, wired manner, they ship with a 3.5mm RemoteTalk cable, one that features all the same inline controls and microphone capabilities.
The Solo3 also come with an included charging cable and a carrying case.Note: You must have macOS Sierra, iOS 10, or watchOS 3 for simultaneous pairing. Rated 4 out of5 byJMM in Tarrytown fromVery good headphones I bought these headphones before traveling on an airplane. I believe they are going to work well for that purpose given that they are wireless.
They paired instantly with my iPhone7 and the controls on the earpiece are easy to use. I listen mostly to classical music and opera and the sound quality for this type of music is just fine. The bass is not overwhelming. The balance is very good - as is dynamic range. My only concerns are keeping the headphones clean - given the amount of white leather, and the soft case that came with them.
I have ordered a harder case separately for better protection. Overall, I am very pleased with these headphones. Rated 1 out of5 byIma fromBeats build quality is garbage Complete junk.
I bought these for my wife. She takes extreme care of everything she owns. These did not last 1 year with light use. They just stopped working. I was able to get a new pair through Apple under the warranty.
The second pair also did not last 1 year. Since the 2 pairs made it past the year combined Apple won’t do anything.

I paid $350 for less than 2 years of use. Now they want $129 to send a refurbished pair with a 90 day warranty. John mayer continuum review.
Beats Solo 3 Wireless Review
Save your money and buy some Sony’s or Bose (I bought Sony’s the same time as my wife and they are going strong with zero issues). Beats are complete and utter junk. Rated 4 out of5 byDave Y. FromA bit bassy, but much better than I thought they'd be. I listen to Rock, Country, Reggae, Jazz, and Pop mainly. These are not audiophile cans - please take this into account when considering these. They are fun bassy headphones, not flat.
However, certain songs may suffer with the mid bass bump these headphones have. But even on the songs I've noticed this on, I lowered the volume a bit and that mostly quells the issue until the next song.
If I'm listening to a whole album of similarly affected music, I can switch the EQ to bass reducer. On my Mac, I've created a custom EQ setting that has a 125hz dip to compensate. Really, the sound quality is very good, but is aimed more at modern music genres. The sound stage is good, separation of instruments is well above average IMO. The added functions included with Apple's W1 chip sealed the deal for me. So simple to pair with long battery life.
My first choice was the Bose QC35, but they are over $100 more expensive and larger, less battery life, don't fold down as small as the Beats and don't have Apple's W1 chip. I would recommend these headphones to almost everyone looking for a good set of wireless headphones under $400.
I hope this helps.
Although I hear Sennheiser is very good, my mother had a bad experience with them 10 years ago. Yes 10 years ago and she still thinks they are bad, lol. What should I tell her? Has the quality of Sennheiser improved over the last 10 years?I will definitely try out Sennheiser!Haha 10 years ago!
I'm sure it was the shippings fault, make sure you buy from good websites! The quality of Sennheiser has always been a cut above the rest, I'm not sure what you should tell her maybe convice her that it was just bad shipping.
At $99 exactly, the brookstone soundshield headphones are INCREDIBLE.Extremely comfortable and offer active noise cancellation and an 'amp'Crisp and clear sound, they never crackle or fade out.The headphones offer better sound quality than the beats studio without the batteries installed, but if you throw in a pair of AAA batts you get even better sound quality with the 'amp' turned on. Gives me thick heavy bass for gaming and my dubstep! And with the active noise cancellation turned on, its like turning off the sound from outside the headphones. A complete lifesaver for plane rides.I just bought a second pair for my girlfriend for giftmas (so she stops using mine, hah!)Before I found the soundshields, I was using the Auvio Elite headphones.
They also have sound equal and or better than the studio beats, but they are only $70! Was a complete steal for the price, but i quickly found after long periods of wearing them (I have a big head) my ears would start to hurt because of how tight they were. My GF didn't have a problem though (she's got a small head ).
